My eating today was a little off. The morning was fine, and lunch was leftover chicken and zucchini from last night, but have had little snacks this afternoon. Dinner was the 'chicken oscar' from Ruby Tuesday's, and because I looked stuff up online before we went to get it, I knew that it was about the healthiest thing I could get there. Only like 450 calories, little fat, and a decent amount of protein.
As far as being proud of you guys and how you're doing.... There has definitely been progress, and I'm proud of that. And while it was somewhat scary, I think tracking what you ate even for a day gave you an idea of the big things that can be done quickly to improve your health a little. If we weren't really working toward a goal of LA, I might be a little more lenient, but I know how important the trip is and so need to keep you guys honest with some of this stuff. You need the exercise, need to eat healthy, need to be at your best....but that's not just now, that's ongoing too after LA.
Overall I'm very proud of you guys. Are you going as fast as I would like? No. But this is a big and drastic change that I'm asking you guys to undertake, and I know that it took me 6 months to find what was right for me as far as what to eat and when to eat. We don't have 6 months, though, thus if I seem a little impatient or ask you to do a lot, that's why. But I am proud of you guys for taking this seriously...just need to keep it up.
