So I'm much better today. I'm over being sad and ready to fight the good fight although I do feel like I'm kind of in the twilight zone. I am SO SORE from the needles (yes, plural) and digging around yesterday that I spent much of the day on the couch with ice. The worst part is that I cannot take Advil or Aleve since I am having surgery on Thursday b/c they are blood thinners...only Tylenol for me and that does exactly NOTHING in the area of pain relief for this girl. Despite this fact, I finally slept today. I took a 3 hour nap and it was freaking heavenly, except now it's after midnight and I'm not even a little bit tired. This afternoon, Joe and I went shopping for a compression bra that hooks in the front for after the surgery...sounds SEXY right??? It was actually funny. We never did find one, so I will have to shop again tomorrow. To bring everyone up to speed, I have pre-op physical and medical history 100 questions tomorrow and the surgery is scheduled for 11:00 on Thursday. Briz- I am going to kick some ass. I plan to kick some SERIOUS ass, so thanks for the sentiment. In case you guys don't know, I have been through kidney stones, 2 painfull births and the removal of a softball-sized tumor from my liver, so this should be a walk in the park (with MUCH better narcotics!). My food intake wasn't the best today, but I'm not beating myself up too much b/c the protion control was still pretty much on.
8:00 Raisin Bran
9:00 Starbucks tall (which is their small) skim caramel mocha (oh, the SUGAR!)
11:00 (Nat, you will like this) Turtle brownie sundae. So unlike me, but it was leftover from the weekend and it sounded really good.
12:30 Half of a Chipotle carnitas burrito w/salsa, black beans, rice, sour cream, cheese & lettuce. Half can of Coke. The other half is calling my name right now, but I'm going to save it for lunch tomorrow.
6:00 turkey sandwich w/sourdough bread, reduced fat provolone & mayo and lettuce
8:30 fountain Coke
9:00 2.3 mile (really slow) walk around the neighborhood
10:00 galss of Merlot
Yes, bad. But tomorrow is another day.
